If you’re like most motorcyclists, you love spending your weekends out on the open road. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of wind in your hair and the sun on your face. And what could be better than doing that while surrounded by other bikers? If you’re looking for some fun motorcycle events to check out in Los Angeles, CA, we’ve got you covered!
In this blog post, we’ll share six of our favorite motorcycle events in LA. Whether you’re a die-hard Harley rider or a scooter enthusiast, there’s something for everyone here!
1. SoCal Biker Fest
If you’re a fan of Oktoberfest and also love motorcycles, then the SoCal Biker Fest is the perfect event for you! Not only is it a great opportunity to check out the latest motorcycles and gear, but it’s also a great chance to meet like-minded people and make new friends.
The Fest takes place every year in October and it always features a wide array of vendors, food trucks, and live entertainment. Whether you’re a seasoned biker or just getting started, the SoCal Biker Fest is definitely worth checking out.
2. Annual David Mann Chopperfest
This event is a must-attend for any chopper fan. Named after the late great artist David Mann, who is widely known for his contribution to the world of motorcycles through his countless depictions of motorcycle life. Some of his artwork even inspired the designs for real motorcycles!
This event celebrates his life and work. It features a wide variety of choppers, both new and old, as well as live music and entertainment. The Annual David Mann Chopperfest takes place every year in December, and is an event you do not want to miss —especially if you’re able to take advantage of the military discount.
3. U.S.A. Bikers’ Festival: Blessings of the Bikes
This event took place for the first time in April 2022, and was such a success that they plan to continue doing it every year! This festival isn’t just a place for bikers to meet up and talk shop —it’s an event for everyone (non-motorcyclists included).
This festival is an opportunity to learn about the history of motorcycle life, culture, and the joys of hitting the open road. There is live music and plenty of food to go around, so make sure you check out this event. Whether you’re a biker or not, it’s sure to be a good time!
4. ABATE Thousand Oaks/Ventura Bike Night
Every Wednesday night from April to October, bikers gather in Thousand Oaks for a night of fun and games. This event is hosted by ABATE (American Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education), an organization that promotes motorcycle safety and awareness.
This bike night takes place at Azar’s Sports Bar and Grill in the month of March, and features music, food and drink specials, and more. It’s a great opportunity to socialize with other bikers and have a good time, but most importantly, to educate yourself about how to stay safe on the road and to understand your rights as a motorcyclist.
It’s dangerous as a motorcyclist, and accidents can happen to anyone. If you’ve ever been injured in an accident in the Los Angeles area, make sure to visit JT Legal Group to learn more about steps you can take to get the compensation you deserve.
5. Sergeant Ron Helus “Ride for The Blue”
This event is held every year in honor of all first responders who serve, but it’s named after Sergeant Ron Helus, a Sheriff’s Deputy who tragically lost his life during the Borderline Club shooting in 2018.
The “Ride for The Blue” is a memorial motorcycle ride that starts at 8 AM, and goes until 4 PM during the month of June. All the proceeds from this ride are donated to charity. This is a great opportunity to support a good cause and pay your respects to those who put themselves in harm’s way for the good of others.
6. So-Cal / Long Beach Motorcycle Swap Meet
This event is held every month, on the first Sunday of the month from April to October. It’s a great opportunity to buy or sell motorcycles and parts. You can find just about anything you need for your motorcycle at this swap meet, whether it’s a new set of handlebars or a used engine.
