HalkTV is a Turkish nationwide TV network that has been in operation since 2005. The channel is best known for its close relationship with the Republican People’s Party (CHP), but that relationship was broken under the new CHP leader in 2011. The Halk TV station received its SDI video program feed from an Avenue 7455 failover switch. This device automatically switches to the backup feed from a router, and can be configured to check various parameters for synchronization. In addition, an Ensemble 7400 serves as the master reference generator, feeding all video devices with a consistent reference system. This system also includes an audio embedder and a bypass protection switch.

The Avenue 7455 failover switch for HalKTV is an affordable, flexible and highly configurable failover solution. Its modular design can support both SD and HD SDI signals. The switch also offers different types of signal testing, including a DVB-ASI signal tester. In addition, it supports mixed signals.
Ensemble 7400 video and audio signal processing equipment
Ensemble Designs recently supplied Halk TV with the new audio and video signal processing equipment it needed to make the transition from analog to digital. The station relies on several different streams of video content, including the production studio, news center, OB van, and MCR room. The Ensemble 7400 ADA and audio signal processing equipment is used throughout the system. The company has contracts with many national news agencies. The equipment also features an Avenue PC control system.
Ensemble 7400 reference system
The Ensemble 7400 reference system for HalkTV is an integrated reference system, spanning the entire system and covering all video devices. The system includes a production studio, OB van, news centre, and MCR room, which were upgraded by Idea Pro ltd in 2009. The system features a wide range of Ensemble products including ADAs, SDI VDAs, embedders, frame synchronizers, HD downconverters, and SPGs.
